We get this question all the time at the studio, from talent looking to build out their home studios. Unfortunately, there's no easy answer because:
There a billion different mics on the market
Every person has a unique voice
Some examples
If you have a deep, bass-like voice, a shotgun mic can often make you sound over-modulated.
If you hit your S's and T's hard, Audio Technica mics can sometimes make your syllables sharp because of their recording crispness.
Lots of trial and error, but spend time discovering your voice type and working your way from there. Sonic bids has a great blog post about how to choose a mic, and while it's geared toward musicians, it's also a great resource for voice talent.
